Interface
'Armadillo' has a parallel interface port(called GPIO).
*GPIO = General Purpose Inputs and Outputs
This port is connected to ARM-7 port B.
In order to control external hardwares, you shall add interface circuit.
Flat cable
I recommend you will make a flat cable.
This cable connects between 'Armadillo' GPIO and interface circuit.
I have maken the following flat cable with sokets.
Flat cable length is about 10 cm.
As long cable will get some noise, I recommend to use short cable.
Interface circuit
Automatic door system has two sensors and four actuators.
I have designed four inputs and four outputs circuit.
INPUTS
Inputs consist of some resistors , LEDs and transisters.
LEDs are indicators for human beings.
You can recognize that input signal comes or not with LED indicator.
OUTPUTS
Outputs consist of some resistors , LEDs , diodes and power transisters.
Diode does avoid to be broken by induced high voltage during switching.
You can recognize that control signal comes or not with LED indicator.
I have used the following parts to have easy connection and disconnection.
